This hands-on workshop if designed for anyone working in a forensic environment responsible for downloading, archiving, processing, correcting, retrieving, printing, and outputting digital images. The workshop will cover workflow from downloading to outputting files and printing, with an emphasis on using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. Other tools will be demonstrated and/or used in the workshop for downloading images, DNG conversion, and managing files.

The workshop will include correcting color, contrast and brightness in Raw file formats, as well as in rendered file formats (JPEG, TIFF, PSD), the use of the DNG format as an archive for Raw files, using Levels and Curves for correction of color balance, brightness and contrast adjustments. Using additional tools, including Shadow/Highlight and Exposure, the use of High Dynamic Range techniques, creating panoramas from multiple images and using Adobe Camera Raw for batch processing TIFF and JPEG files as well as Raw files.


Students are expected to bring a laptop to class with Adobe Photoshop installed. Trial versions of the software application are available from the Adobe website. For more information on laptop requirements including laptop rentals, please contact Resolution Video at training@resvid.com

Requirements:

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills are required to complete this training.
